Calloused Hands Studio...
...started out as a dream supported by family. Working with kids and adults who are all actively engaged in the excitement of learning is our favorite place to be. Knowledge is so powerful and the pursuit of it a life long endeavor. We believes that one should never stop learning and find ways to continue to stretch our minds and imaginations. This business was born from that dream in a living room with the worlds best nephew. We truly hope Bo can continue to dream to grow, and learn with you as well.
Bo is a Montserrat College of Art Alumni ('17), having attended the school for Sculpture. While there though the pursuit of knowledge was unyielding, they spent many days in the classrooms they had chosen to be in as well as sitting in on others. Taking classes outside of their degree in printmaking, drawing, collage, audio and video media, illustration, and more. Bo is a well rounded artist, who grew up sewing, and in their work has fallen deeply in love with textiles. Sewing being a passion that was built in their childhood home with their mother and grandmother. All mediums they use call back to the love of textiles, working inmixed media pieces most often. It was also with their grandmother where they discovered a love of baking, cooking and food. From cookies to cakes, to dinner dishes they are fond of the science of baking and the practical application of it.
